The Animation ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ Exhibition Malaysia exhibition will showcase over 100 character action line drawings from the anime – originally created by the animation team at MAPPA.

Malaysian fans of Jujutsu Kaisen, can now immerse themselves in the world of the hit anime series at the Animation ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ Exhibition, which is happening now until Oct 20 at Fahrenheit88, Kuala Lumpur.

Malaysia is the first country to host this exhibition in Southeast Asia, which features over 100 character action line drawings from the anime, originally created by the animation team at MAPPA; as well as detailed replicas of key locations, life-sized statues and cutouts of beloved characters, and exclusive behind-the-scenes glimpses of the production process.

Created by Gege Akutami, the Jujutsu Kaisen manga made its debut in 2018 on the pages of Shonen Jump, and was adapted into an anime in 2020.

The story is set in a world where negative emotions in humans and other living things result in 'Cursed Energy', which in turn leads to the birth of evil spiritual beings and demons called 'Curses'.

While ordinary people are not able to control this Cursed Energy, there is a group of people who can, called Jujutsu Sorcerers. These sorcerors can control the Cursed Energy in their bodies, and even use it to perform 'Cursed Techniques', which they use to battle Curses.

The main story of Jujutsu Kaisen revolves around a Japanese teenager named Yuji Itadori, who swallows a 'Special Grade' cursed object – a finger that belonged to a powerful Curse called Sukuna, and becomes the host for the immense Cursed Energy held within it. However, as a result, Yuji is marked for execution by the organisation of Jujutsu Sorcerers.

However, an influential Sorceror named Satoru Gojo sees potential in Yuji's ability to control the Cursed Energy from the finger, and gives him a choice: either be executed on the spot, or help the Sorcerors hunts down the remaining 19 fingers and eat them, in order to eliminate the threat of Sukuna once and for all. After choosing the latter, Yuji enrolls into the Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High School in order to train to become a Jujutsu Sorceror.
