Back in 1998, singers Brandy and Monica released the duet The Boy Is Mine, which hit No. 1 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart and remained on the top spot for 13 weeks.

The R&B pop song is of course, about two women fighting over a man. Brandy who co-wrote the song said The Boy Is Mine was inspired by an episode of The Jerry Springer Show, the tabloid talk show that sometimes feature guests fighting about their messy relationships.
