While promoting the films Bombshell and The Addams Family on talk shows in October last year, Academy Award winner Charlize Theron was spotted with a thumb brace on her left hand.

She had to wear the brace for months as she tore her thumb ligament executing a fight sequence for her new action movie The Old Guard, and then continuing to shoot through the pain in the final three weeks of filming.
