Malaysian actress and singer Fauziah Ahmad Daud has caused some excitement... and confusion on social media when she uploaded a post on Saturday (Dec 3) hinting that she was going to tie the knot.

Media reported about it while fans and celebrities reached out to Fauziah, better known as Ogy, to congratulate the actress. However, the 60-year-old has clarified that the post has nothing to do with marriage.

Ogy said the Facebook and Instagram posts were actually about a job offer for a production.

“Many people thought I was going to get married. I didn’t say I wanted to get married... what I meant was this concert that will be held next year.

"But if so many people have prayed (and congratulated), I’ll just accept it,” Ogy told mStar, The Star's Malay-language portal.

She made the clarification during the press conference for the musical Wajah Rahsia Hati at Hotel Royale Chulan in Damansara, Kuala Lumpur this evening (Dec 5). Ogy says she's set to star in this production after deliberating about it for five years.

On Saturday, Ogy posted on her social media accounts: “At first, there was the visit, then the proposal. The proposal was accepted. The ceremony is next week. We can’t wait.” (Pada mulanya dirisik, kemudiannya masuk meminang. Pinangan diterima. Majlis minggu depan, tak sabarnya kita).

Social media went abuzz with the announcement, as her fans assumed she was getting married again. The news had garnered thousands of likes on her social media accounts.

Ogy was married to actor Eman Manan in 1990, and the couple filed for divorce 13 years later.
