Hong Kong action star Jackie Chan’s daughter Etta Ng has refused to reunite with her mother, former beauty queen Elaine Ng, for Chinese New Year.

On Monday (Jan 16), the 23-year-old reportedly told Hong Kong media: “I’d rather be homeless and eat stale bread than reunite with my mother.”

Elaine, 50, has not had the best relationship with Etta, who was born out of wedlock after having an affair with Chan.

Over the past years, the two have feuded publicly on several occasions. In 2015, Etta accused her mother of abusing her and having a drinking problem.

Their relationship became more strained in 2018 after Etta tied the knot with Canadian Andi Autumn, 35.

In a YouTube video that year, Etta accused her parents of being homophobic for not acknowledging her marriage with Autumn.

“We were homeless for a month due to homophobic parents. We’ve gone to the police, we’ve gone to hospitals, food banks, the LGBTQ community shelters and all of them just don’t give a s***,” Etta lamented.

In July last year, Elaine publicly voiced her dislike towards Autumn and slammed her for depending on Etta for money.

Last October, a netizen spotted Etta queuing for free food given to the needy in Toronto, Canada, where she is currently based.
