Fans of "smooth jazz" music will be thrilled to know that superstar saxophonist Kenny G is heading to Malaysia once again for a show.

The Grammy-winning artiste is set to perform at Arena Of Stars, Resorts World Genting on April 2 at 6pm.

Even though he started in the 1980s, the musician stays relevant in the music scene by collaborating with current stars such as Kanye West and The Weeknd.

"I've been around a long time, so when people like Kanye and The Weeknd are asking me to play on their records, yeah, I do feel like it's a resurgence in my career right now. I'm not trying to sound egotistical, but I've always thought that when you have something of great quality, you become timeless," Kenny G tells People magazine in an interview last year.

Kenny G's music is truly timeless. His ubiquitous hits Songbird and Silhoutte are known to many and he has sold more than 75 million copies of his album to date.

His 2021 album, New Standards, features 11 original compositions inspired by the jazz ballads of the 1950s and 1960s.

He reportedly practiced the saxophone four hours a day to keep himself in tip-top condition. The 66-year-old doesn't see himself retiring from the music scene any time soon.

"Retirement would only happen if something physical were to prevent me from playing. It's been quite a life, so I'm going to play for as long as I can," he told People.

At his upcoming Malaysian show, Kenny G is set to serenade the audience with both classic hits as well as newer numbers.

Prices for Kenny G Live In Malaysia 2023 are priced between RM188 and RM598 and will go on sale on Jan 27, 2pm via my.bookmyshow.com or rwgenting.com.
