Chinese actress Wang Likun, also known as Claudia Wang, is allegedly in the process of getting a divorce after her husband was arrested for fraud, Kwong Wah reported.

According to Chinese media, Wang's businessman husband had defrauded homebuyers out of approximately 800mil yuan (RM509mil) after selling many homes in a schooling district without obtaining development rights for the land.

It is reported that more than 46 households fell victim to his scams, with many of them being elderly people.

Netizens suspect that Wang has been living a life of luxury off the backs of the scam victims since.

In a report by Epoch Times, it is said that her husband had been using the money he defrauded to buy the 37-year-old actress luxurious goods. This includes a mansion in Shanghai, a Rolls-Royce car and multiple Hermes bags as well as jewellery.

Shortly after news came to light, Dior – who tapped Wang as its ambassador for the brand's skincare line, Dior Prestige – removed all posts relating to the actress on its official Weibo account.

At present, Wang's 220mil yuan home and luxury car assets have reportedly been seized. It is also said that the Somewhere Only We Know star is currently being investigated by police.

According to entertainment portal Jayne Stars, Wang was previously rumoured to be dating Chinese actor Lin Gengxin after collaborating in Stephen Chow's 2017 flick, Journey To The West: The Demons Strike Back.

However, their relationship did not work out and the actress ended up tying the knot with a wealthy businessman who had been "pursuing her" in 2019.
