Anita Mui’s brother makes an appearance at ‘Anwar: The Untold Story’ movie press event in KL with wife and son

The upcoming film Anwar: The Untold Story – based on Malaysia’s Prime Minister's past – held a press conference on Wednesday (March 1) in Kuala Lumpur.

Among those who attended the event were actors Farid Kamil (who plays Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim) and Hasnul Rahmat (as Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad). Indonesian actress Acha Septriasa, who portrays Datin Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail in the movie, dialled in via Zoom.

Also, at the event was the brother of the late Hong Kong singer Anita Mui – Mui Kai Ming. He was there with his Malaysian wife, Joey, and 14-year-old son Richard.

When approached by the Malaysian media, Kai Ming told them he often comes to Malaysia, and this time around, he will be staying here for a month to be with his family.

It has been reported that Richard and his mother live in Malaysia.

According to a report by China Press, Kai Ming was invited to the press conference by an acquaintance.

Talking to the press, Kai Ming said he wants his son to enter the entertainment industry but, sometime in the future as the teenager is still studying.

Anwar: The Untold Story is set to open in Malaysia in May. It depicts the turbulent political life of our prime minister, mainly from 1993 to 1998.
