Gigi Lai turns 52 later this year but the former actress looks as fresh-faced as she was when she joined the Hong Kong entertainment scene in the 1990s.

The secret to her beauty and youthful looks, according to the former TVB star, is drinking 4 litres of water a day.

Lai, who was nicknamed the "Goddess Of Beauty" by the Hong Kong media at the height of her career, revealed this on Instagram recently and hashtagged the post #GigiBeautySecret.

Back in 2020, Lai said that she eats four meals a day but her food does not contain oil, sugar, flour products or alcohol.

Lai joined the entertainment industry in the mid 1980s and started making a name for herself when she signed with TVB in 1991 and starred in shows such as War And Beauty and The Heaven Sword And Dragon Saber.

She left the business in 2008 to take over her brother's cosmetics business after he was involved in a car accident that left him wheelchair-bound.

Lai married billionaire businessman, Patrick Ma in 2008 and together, they have three daughters.
