We have cheered for her in the past few months as she went on to sweep accolades after accolades at the awards circuit, culminating in the historic win at the Oscars on March 12.

Now, get ready to welcome Tan Sri Michelle Yeoh back to Malaysia as the actress is set to meet fans at a special event on April 18.

The Everything Everywhere All At Once star is scheduled to appear at the "Pride of Malaysia Michelle Yeoh Homecoming Public Fan Meet" on April 18 at 4pm at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur.

Yeoh, 60, made history when she won the Best Actress golden statuette at the 95th Academy Awards in Los Angeles last month. She became the first actress of Asian descent to win in the category. She's also the first Malaysian to be nominated and win in the Academy Awards.

Her acceptance speech at the Oscars is already one of the most shared quotes on social media as Yeoh shone light on the Asian community and women.

"For all the little boys and girls who look like me watching tonight, this is a beacon of hope and possibilities. This is proof, dream big, and dreams do come true," she said on stage after accepting her Best Actress award.

"And ladies, don't let anyone ever tell you you're past your prime," added Yeoh as cheers erupted at the Dolby Theatre.

"I have to dedicate this (award) to my mum, all the mums in the world because they are really the superheroes, and without them, none of us would be here tonight.

"I'm taking this home to her. She's watching right now in Malaysia, KL, with my family and friends. I love you guys. I'm bringing this home to you," Yeoh continued.

Looks like the newly-minted Oscar winner is keeping her promise.
