With Hari Raya just a week away, Malay language radio station Suria FM is ushering in the celebration by treating its listeners to a variety of programmes with its "Melakar Pahala Warnai Raya" campaign.

According to the station's general manager DJ Lin, this campaign serves as an effort to help listeners get into the Hari Raya spirit while simultaneously strengthening its bond with its audience.

"We at Suria FM would like to wish everyone a Selamat Hari Raya. We hope that through this campaign, we can bring some joy into people's lives, especially our loyal listeners," she said.

An exciting programme poised to entertain listeners this festive season is Suria FM's Hari Raya short film, Raya Akhir, which is available on YouTube.

The 37-minute drama tells the story of a man named Akhir (Shuib) who keeps displaying erratic behaviour to the point it begins to concern his family and those around him.

However, when his best friend Darris (Ajak) discovers something in Akhir's bedroom, everyone around him slowly starts to piece the puzzle together.

The show also stars radio announcers DJ Lin, Anna J, Suraya, Tyzo, Rara and Cik Piah. Malaysian artiste Uji Rashid, who's especially popular in the 1970s, makes a special appearance too.

Do check out the behind-the-scene video of Raya Akhir on Suria FM's social media accounts too.

Accompanying the drama is a track originally written by Uji in 1977, Kali Terakhir Ku Lihat Wajahmu. In the latest version, the number is sung by the station's presenters. The music video is now streaming on YouTube.

In addition to special videos, four Raya songs – also available on YouTube – have also been released by Suria FM. Each track is performed by its deejays together with local stars like Shila Amzah, Amir Masdi, Farra Ahmad and more.

Among the tunes include Hari Ini Kita Raya, performed by Ajak, Shuib, Suraya, Akim and Shila Amzah; Tak Dapat Pulang Beraya, performed by DJ Lin and Cik Piah featuring Adira; Kepulangan Anakku, performed by Rara and Tyzo featuring Amir Masdi and Farra Ahmad; and Hari Raya Menjelma, performed by Anna J featuring Ahmad Syafiq, Syeera Aziz and Aqeesh Aleeya.

On April 22, don't forget to check out Suria's Top 40 Raya chart. From 10am to 2pm, the station will be playing popular Hari Raya tracks as picked by its listeners. Celebrities The Dollah and Nabila Razali are set to appear as guests on the show.

From April 24 to 28, from 6am to 10am, join the station's Morning Morning Suria Raya crew – Shuib, Ajak and Suraya – as they chat with local stars like Amy Mastura, Aizat Amdan and his wife Elyssa Alia Ilias, Riza Amir and his wife Michelle Maali, and Ustaz Don Daniyal.

On April 24, radio announcers Tyzo and Rara will be sitting with singers Amir and Farra to talk about their latest Raya song, Kepulangan Anakku, in the Suria Petang Raya programme from 3pm to 4pm.
