Michelle Yeoh's star has never been brighter since her Best Actress Oscar win for Everything Everywhere all At Once. So it's no surprise that her upcoming projects are also being highly anticipated as well.

While she will have roles in upcoming blockbuster sequels for Avatar, Transformers, and has recently signed on for a new Star Trek movie, two more impending projects have also released trailers that are obviously playing up the fact that they have 'Oscar winner Michelle Yeoh' in their cast.

First up is A Haunting in Venice, supernatural-thriller inspired by the acclaimed murder mystery writer Agatha Christie’s novel Hallowe’en Party.

This movie is the third Christie adaptation to be directed by Kenneth Branagh, who also stars as the iconic Belgian investigator Hercule Poirot (The first two were 2017's Murder On The Orient Express, and 2022's Death On The Nile.)

In it, Yeoh plays Joyce Reynolds, a mystic who conducts a seance attended by Poirot, but turns out to also be the scene of a murder.

Yeoh and Branagh will be part of a star-studded ensemble cast which includes Tina Fey, Kyle Allen), Camille Cottin, Jamie Dornan, Jude Hill, Ali Khan, Emma Laird, Kelly Reilly, and Riccardo Scamarcio.

Earlier this week, a new trailer of another of Yeoh's upcoming projects was also released – the Disney+ Hotstar series American Born Chinese, based on the award-winning graphic novel by Gene Luen Yang.

In it, Ben Wang plays the titular 'American Born Chinese', Jin Wang, a high schooler who is struggling to fit in, but is saddled with showing Wei-Chen (Jim Liu), a new foreign exchange student, the ropes.

While his presence makes life for Jin harder at school initially, Wei-Chen is not what he seems, and he soon gets Wang involved in a battle between gods of Chinese mythology, which includes Yeoh's Guanyin, the Goddess of Mercy.

Set for premiere on Disney+ Hotstar on May 24, Yeoh will be reunited with fellow Everything Everywhere All At Once co-stars Ke Huy Quan and Stephanie Hsu (who guests stars) in a cast that also includes fellow Malaysian actress Yeo Yann Yann, among others.
