After announcing his engagement to Chinese makeup artist Lin Ningrui in April last year (2022), Taiwanese actor Hao Shao Wen successfully tied the knot with his beau on Monday (May 15) in Hangzhou, China.

Hours after the wedding, Hao took to Weibo to share a series of photos he took from their ceremony.

His post was accompanied by a caption that read: "Getting married to Lin Ningrui. Is it too early to say 'I do'?"

Aside from pictures with his wife, there were also snaps of the 33-year-old with his family and groomsmen.

Many netizens noticed a familiar face in the photos, and it was none other than former child star Shi Xiaolong – who was reported by Chinese media to be the groom's best man.

Hao starred opposite Shi, 35, in director Kevin Chu's 1994 comedy film, Shaolin Popey, and its spin-off, Shaolin Popey II: Messy Temple.

The two, who have known each other for almost 30 years, were seen happily taking photos together.

It is understood that Shi not only helped shoot videos of the newlyweds, but helped host the tea ceremony too.

Fans have since expressed excitement over the duo's interaction, with many commenting that it brought back childhood memories.

"The little boys from my childhood have grown up to be so handsome," a netizen said.

"Shi Xiaolong is selected as best man ... this brings back so many memories. Wishing you happiness," one netizen commented.

"I watched a lot of their movies when growing up. This is so nostalgic," said another.
