HK actor Chow Yun Fat celebrates 68th birthday with wife and celebrity friends

Hong Kong superstar Chow Yun Fat celebrated his 68th birthday together with his wife Jasmine Tan and celebrity friends on Thursday (May 18), China Press reported.

A video of the celebration was posted by popular actress Anita Yuen, 51, to her 18 million followers on Weibo.

“I am having dinner with my favourite person today,” she said before panning the camera to Chow, whom she described as her “super idol”.

Also present for the birthday bash were Chow's co-stars for the upcoming movie, Don't Call Me God Of Gamblers.

This included former TVB star Kenny Wong Tak Bun, actor Alex Fong Chung Sun and award-winning filmmakers Felix Chong, Anthony Pun and Ronald Wong.

When asked about his birthday wish, Chow – affectionately known as Fat Gor – said he wants his upcoming movie to be a huge success.

“I hope the film will be watched by many people. It is a must!” the From Vegas To Macau star said with a smile.

Scheduled for a June release in China, Don't Call Me God Of Gamblers – directed by Pun – also stars Chinese actress Zhang Jingchu and late Hong Kong actor Liu Kai Chi.

According to 8world.com, the film marks Chow's first big screen appearance since his last movie, Project Gutenberg, in 2018.
