Receiving criticism is inevitable for celebrities. For Roxanne Tong, she's keeping her chin up and taking it all in stride when she reads negative comments about herself.

According to HK01, Tong was recently criticised for her acting skills in the new TVB drama Secret Door, where she played a policewoman.

The news portal reported that many people didn't enjoy her performance due to her “poor body language” and “unfit physique”.

“She doesn’t sound or act like a cop. She can barely run too. I don’t understand who chose her to play the role of a policewoman,” one netizen lamented.

“Last night, Roxanne ran out of breath after chasing (her co-star) Ruco Chan for a while. What a weak cop. She failed in her role,” another commented.

Taking to Instagram to address the criticisms, the 36-year-old said she will not let them bring her down.

“In life, there will always be highs and lows. One can only improve by accepting criticism with humility! I may not have done my best, but I will work harder!” she wrote.

In her post, she also thanked the people for watching and paying attention to her performance.

“I will remember all your comments, be it good or bad,” she concluded.

Although Tong's post continued to be flooded with negative comments, her fiance actor Kenneth Ma had cheered her on.

“Good luck,” he commented under her post.
