British rock band Coldplay will be performing at the National Stadium in Singapore from Jan 23 to 27 as part of its Music Of The Spheres World Tour.
According to concert organiser Live Nation, the Grammy-winning band is the first act to play four nights at the venue.
Tickets are priced from SG$68 (RM234) onwards and will be available for pre-sale on June 19 at 2pm via www.livenation.sg.
To be eligible for the pre-sale, one will need to subscribe to Coldplay’s newsletter on www.coldplay.com/sign-up by June 16. An email will be sent to subscribers on June 18.
General tickets will go on sale at 2pm on June 20 at Ticketmaster.
To make the shows more accessible to fans, Coldplay have also confirmed it will release a limited number of Infinity Tickets – priced at around US$20 (RM92) each – at a later date.
The Infinity Tickets will only be sold in pairs and are restricted to a maximum of two tickets per buyer.
Coldplay last performed in Singapore in 2017, where it played two nights at the National Stadium. The Straits Times reported that more than 100,000 tickets to both shows were sold out soon after they went on sale.
The band will also be performing in Manila on Jan 19 and in Bangkok on Feb 3.
Tickets to Coldplay’s concerts in Kuala Lumpur and Jakarta in November 2023 sold out quickly after going on sale in May.
However, many fans were left dissatisfied after scalpers re-sold tickets on unauthorised websites at exorbitant prices.
They have also rallied on social media to request additional concert dates from the rock band after being left in the cold in the rush to buy tickets for their coming gig.
Since the first Music Of The Spheres World Tour date in March 2022, Coldplay has sold over seven million tickets – the most for any tour over the last two years.
The tour has also received rave reviews from fans and critics alike, picking up various accolades including Favourite Touring Artist at the 2022 American Music Awards and Tour Of The Year at the 2023 iHeartRadio Awards.
