Former TVB actor Lee Lung Kei, 72, may be nearly four decades older than his girlfriend Chris Wong, 36, but that has never been an issue in their relationship.

In a recent interview with Hong Kong media, Lee acknowledged that many have called their romance a "grandfather-granddaughter relationship".

However, he made it clear that he was unfazed by the comments as their 36-year age gap was no barrier to love and happiness.

"From the start, I have always believed that (our love) is not (bound by age).

"The most important thing is that we love each other," Lee said, adding that he has become more youthful in behaviour, as a result of the relationship.

During the interview, the Journey To The West star said that tolerance was the key to their stable relationship.

As for whether the couple would start a family after their wedding, the actor said he would leave that to fate.

On June 7, Lee announced that he will be tying the knot with Wong in a "low-key wedding ceremony" at the end of this year.

Earlier in March, he also said that he had transferred all seven of his properties to Wong in an effort to secure her future after marriage.

The couple's relationship first came to light in 2020 when Hong Kong media reported that Wong, who was carrying Lee's child, suffered a miscarriage.

Despite their huge age difference, the couple has been in a stable relationship for four years due to their shared interests.
