Hong Kong actor Brian Wong Chak Fung, 56, has expressed desire to have a second child with his wife Lilian Chan, who's also of the same age.
In a recent episode of the variety show Count Your Destiny, Wong said the reason he and Chan wanted a second child was because they didn't want their daughter to feel lonely when they pass away.
"At least (our daughter) will have another family member in this world once (my wife and I) grow old and are no longer around," the former TVB actor added.
During the interview, Wong shared that it took them nine years to have their first child. The couple tied the knot in 2010.
"We got married at the age of 43. Back then, we were so eager to have a child. There were times when we would wonder if (Chan) was pregnant, but it always turned out to be a false alarm," he said.
After nine years of trying for a baby and failing, the Tiger Cubs star felt that they should both give up.
However, it was during that year Chan – who was 52 at the time – finally conceived.
Wong's daughter was born in July 2019. She turns four on Sunday (July 8).
Describing his daughter as an affectionate person, the actor said: "She would cling onto my leg saying, 'Papa, I love you'. Whatever she wants, my wife and I will give it to her."
Wong's first marriage in 1999 ended in divorce in 2004.
