Hong Kong actor Bosco Wong recently appeared on a talk show hosted by actress Harriet Yeung and singer Shiga Lin, where he spoke about his love for vintage cars and what he looks for in a partner.

Wong said he had been playing with toy cars since young, and that hobby eventually sparked his interest in collecting vintage cars.

“I have always found classic cars to be really beautiful since young. Sports cars are cool, but if you asked whether or not I am interested in buying one, then no.

“When I see a vintage car, however, I would keep staring at it and literally start drooling,” the 42-year-old joked.

At the moment, Wong owns eight cars, but not all are vintage.

His extravagant collection includes a car for work, a few branded cars he doesn’t drive and some of his favourite classic cars.

The TVB star shared that his first vintage car was an MG that cost around HK$100,000 (RM58,646), which he once displayed at an antique car show.

The actor also revealed that his most expensive vintage car fetches a price of up to HK$3mil (RM1.79mil).

During the interview, Wong said that he is very particular about keeping his classic cars in perfect condition.

“Even a tiny scratch is unacceptable. If there were damages, I would immediately get someone to fix it,” he said.

The Forensic Heroes V star also added that he has a few rules for friends who wanted to drive his treasured vehicles.

“I would always remind them to be careful and drive slowly. I would even tell them how they should seat themselves inside (my car),” he said.

In the episode, Wong shared that he has developed a habit of seeking comfort in his vintage cars whenever he couldn't sleep at night.

“I would just start the engine to hear the sounds of the car and try to take in the scent of the leather. It’s really satisfying,” he said.

As for what he looks for in a potential partner, Wong said it would be a plus if his girlfriend loved cars as much as he does.

But more importantly, his future partner would have to get approval from his mother first before anything else.
