It almost seemed like the passing of a torch, one boy band in their 30s collaborating with a South Korean K-pop group in their early 20s.

On Friday (July 7), the Jonas Brothers and Tomorrow x Together put their voices together and dropped Do It Like That, an upbeat disco music video. Since then, it has amassed 16 million views on YouTube.

The video is also a reminder of the Jonas Brothers’ upcoming appearances.

The brothers, who have Dallas-area roots, recently wrapped up their latest full-length record, The Album, in May. They’ll perform Aug 30 at Globe Life Field in Arlington as part of their Five Albums. One Night. The Tour.

TXT, which debuted in 2019 and played in Grand Prairie a year ago on its world tour, dropped its single, Goodbye Now, earlier this year.

In the collaborative video, Nick Jonas opens the song and is joined by Joe Jonas and Kevin Jonas on guitar. Forty-two seconds in, Yeonjun slides in, and, soon, the rest – Soobin, Beomgyu, Taehyun and Hueningkai – join in for what amounts to an eight-man dancefest.

Afterward, TXT expressed appreciation for sharing the screen with its more elder counterparts.

“As someone who looked up to the Jonas Brothers when growing up, this collaboration was a dream come true for me,” Hueningkai told People. – The Dallas Morning News/Tribune News Service
