On Tuesday (July 18), TV host and entrepreneur Neelofa shared on Instagram the name of her newborn baby.

The 34-year-old, who gave birth to a second son on July 11, revealed the name to be Abdullah Abbas.

According to her, she and her husband – Muhammad Haris Ismail, 28 – chose Abdullah as the first name because it is a beloved name to Allah, while Abbas is mentioned in the Prophet Muhammad’s prayer.

"Just like the birth of (first son) Muhammad Bilal, feelings of love and affection are also attached to Abdullah Abbas,” wrote Neelofa in the caption.

Neelofa also shared of her hope for Abdullah Abbas: "So, Umi's (Neelofa's nickname) and Abah's (Haris's nickname) hope is that Abdullah Abbas is chosen by Allah to become a Daie (Islamic preacher) who will convey the message of Islam to the whole world.”

Neelofa gave birth to a baby boy on July 11 at 10.45pm at a medical centre in Kuala Lumpur.

She announced of her second pregnancy in March.

The couple got married on March 27, 2021, and their first son Muhammad Bilal was born in January 2022.

Meanwhile, on Wednesday Neelofa said on InstaStory that she is choosing to undergo traditional confinement practises this time.

And she is doing this by employing the services of a traditional midwife from Besut, Terengganu for the confinement period.

"Alhamdulillah, I am fortunate to bring Kak Dib all the way from Besut, Terengganu to stay in Kuala Lumpur for 40 days to assist me in the traditional confinement period.

“I feel more at ease doing this, since I am originally from there.”

The celebrity also shared that she plans to achieve her ideal weight in those 40 days.

“On my way to 55kg,” she said.
