Malaysian singer-actress Janna Nick was unable to hold back her tears after opening up about her bipolar disorder.

In a recent live stream on TikTok, Janna said that she was doing this broadcast to combat the stigma that people with mental disorders are faking it for attention.

The 28-year-old then went on to share about the “worst” bipolar episode she has ever experienced since being diagnosed with the illness in 2021.

According to the Janna, the lack of rest caused by her hectic work schedule was most likely the cause of her recent episode.

Sharing about the disturbing thoughts that abruptly came one day while she was trying to sleep, the singer said: “My mind suddenly went to war and it forced me to think of critical things.

“It told me how to kill someone, hide the body and evade the police. I’m just so tired.”

The Juang star said that when she got out of bed, the “voices” in her head got worse to the point she hated her brain so much she wanted to “shut it down”.

“I tried to sit silently and pray but the voices (in my head) were louder than my own,” she said, adding that it made her want to slam her head against a wall.

At the end of her broadcast, Janna urged the public to take mental disorders more seriously and to not assume that someone is fine just because they looked happy on the outside.

Janna revealed that she was clinically diagnosed with bipolar disorder in an Instagram Reel in 2021.

In the same video, the singer admitted that she had thought of dying when she was eight and attempted to take her own life twice in her teenage years.

She has since been on medication to treat her disorder.
