Malaysian actor Hafidz Roshdi and Nurul Shuhada Mat Shukri have divorced with a single talak after seven years of marriage.

The divorce decree was granted by Syarie Judge Siti Rahmah Hussin at the Syariah Lower Court in Shah Alam today (July 27).

According to mStar, The Star’s Malay language news portal, the court ruled Hafidz's divorce pronouncement made via phone call on Feb 22 to be valid.

Following divorce proceedings, Hafidz told reporters that he was satisfied with the court's decision and expressed gratitude now that things have ended on a good note.

"I would like to thank everyone who honoured my privacy and career. Alhamdulillah, I am relieved everything was solved without arguments," he said.

Likewise, Shuhada expressed relief and said that she will be taking time to focus on herself, her children and her goals for now.

Hafidz and Shuhada married on April 30, 2016. They have two children together – Humairah, six, and Umar, two.

Earlier this year, Shuhada accused Hafidz of cheating on her with another woman.

On Feb 27, she filed for a divorce from Hafidz with the approval of her family as well as the actor’s family.

On March 13, Hafidz pleaded not guilty to the charge of intentionally injuring Shuhada by punching her left cheek three times until she suffered cuts, bruises and swelling.
