Blackpink’s Jisoo is in a relationship with South Korean actor Ahn Bo-hyun.

On Thursday (Aug 3), Korean media outlet Dispatch reported that the two stars were dating and shared photos of the pair meeting up at Jisoo’s home.

The report added that since Jisoo is a "homebody" who "spends most of her time at home after returning from overseas", the couple would meet up at her house in Yongsan, South Korea.

Jisoo’s agency, YG Entertainment, confirmed the report in a statement.

As translated by Korea JoongAng Daily, the agency said: “(Jisoo and Ahn) are in a stage where they are getting to know each other slowly with good feelings. We would appreciate it if you could watch the couple with a warm gaze.”

Ahn’s label, FNC Entertainment, also confirmed the news.

Ahn, 35, is seven years older than Jisoo, 28. He kickstarted his career in 2007 as a model but shifted to acting in 2014.

Since making his big break in 2020 with the K-drama Itaewon Class, where he played the villainous Jang Geun-won, Ahn has taken on many lead roles in dramas such as My Name (2021), Yumi’s Cells (2021-2022), Military Prosecutor Doberman (2022) and See You In My 19th Life (2023).

Meanwhile, Jisoo debuted as a member of K-pop supergroup Blackpink in 2016 and made history after her first solo album, Me, sold more than 1.17 million copies, a record for a K-pop solo female artiste, said YG Entertainment in April.

Her chart-topping hit, Flower, also went viral on social media, with many celebrities from all around the world dancing to the track.

Blackpink is currently on its Born Pink world tour. The quartet will be performing at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, United States on Aug 11.
