Hong Kong opera singer Warren Mok has tied the knot with his 37-year-old girlfriend, Chinese opera singer Wang Bingbing.
In a Weibo post on July 20, Mok, 64, wrote: “A perfect dream wedding in Italy.”
His post was accompanied by multiple photos from the lavish ceremony, held in a villa overlooking the picturesque Lake Como.
In one photo, Mok, who was dressed in a silver tuxedo, can be seen holding hands with Wang, who looked beautiful in a white form-fitting gown, while descending a flight of stairs.
Another photo showed the newlyweds in a warm embrace at a banquet hall decorated with candles and pink, purple and white flowers.
According to HK01, this is Mok’s second marriage. The singer previously married a socialite named Winnie in 1996 and had a son together.
The report added that although Mok and Winnie have kept their divorce private, many netizens noted that the pair gradually stopped appearing at events together over the years.
Mok, who made his opera debut in 1987 at the Deutsche Oper Berlin in Germany, is the founder and artistic director of Opera Hong Kong – the city's first professional opera company.
Mok has a repertoire of 60 operatic roles and has recorded many solo albums and opera CDs – including Simon Boccanegra, Robert Le Diable and Les Huguenots.
Meanwhile, Wang was reported to have made her opera debut in 2007 at the age of 21.
It is understood that she graduated with a master's degree from the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory Of Music in Milan and is currently based in Italy.
