Rebel Wilson has gone public with damages she sustained on the set of her latest movie.
One of the chosen few allowed to work during the SAG-AFTRA strike, the Isn’t It Romantic star was injured on the Savannah, Georgia set of her upcoming wedding comedy, Bride Hard. She shared a glimpse of her bloody nose and stitches in her face on social media on Aug 3.
“NOT the way I wanted to end this movie!” Wilson captioned a post on her Instagram Story, revealing a look at her bashed-up nose. “Three stitches and in hospital last night after a stunt accident at 4am.”
Bride Hard is considered an independently produced film and therefore made the list of projects granted a waiver to continue filming amid the recently launched labour action.
“This list includes productions that are signed to agreements within the scope of the strike order, but have signed Interim Agreements allowing them to resume,” reads the official list from SAG-AFTRA, which also stated that “members may work on these productions without being in violation of the strike order.”
Directed by Simon West, whose credits include Expendables 2 and Tomb Raider, Bride Hard revolves around a secret agent who has been tasked with the hard mission of being a Maid of Honor for her childhood best friend.
“Bride Hard combines action, adventure and comedy. These are genres I love to mix together,” West told Deadline. “I think audiences will love this. It operates on so many levels. It’s exciting, glamorous, a huge ensemble cast and with Rebel Wilson in the lead it’s guaranteed to be hilarious.”
Following her breakout role in 2011′s Bridesmaids, Wilson, 43, went on to star in the hit comedies Bachelorette, How To Be Single, and the Pitch Perfect franchise. – New York Daily News/Tribune News Service
