Former TVB actress Charmaine Sheh, who came to Malaysia last month to film a new drama, seems to be making the most of her time here.

In a Facebook post on Wednesday (Aug 23), a fan page of Sheh's uploaded a video of the 48-year-old frying kuey teow at a roadside stall in Kuala Lumpur.

With guidance from the stall owner, the Hong Kong beauty – dressed casually in a white tee and polka dot maxi skirt – can be seen frying the kuey teow with her right hand, and pouring soy sauce with her left.

A woman, who was not shown in the video, could be heard reminding Sheh to stir from both sides.

The owner also playfully told the actress to be careful not to burn the food, to which the latter confidently responded: "It won't happen!"

However, after stir-frying the kuey teow for some time, Sheh admitted defeat and passed the spatula to the stall's vendor, exclaiming: "It's so tiring! It's hard work."

At press time, the video on Facebook has garnered over 86,000 views and 3,800 likes and counting.

Many netizens have left comments praising the War And Beauty star for her youthful looks, with some even joking that this plate of kuey teow was going to be the most expensive one yet.

Sheh, who's especially fond of Malaysian cuisines, previously shared a photo of herself enjoying the famous Penang prawn noodles on her Xiaohongshu account.

She also uploaded a video of herself enjoying a durian cake gifted by a fan upon her arrival at the airport last month.

Sheh is currently shooting Modern Dynasty 2 in Malaysia. Filming is expected to wrap up mid-September, with most of the scenes taking place around Kuala Lumpur.
