Hong Kong actor Lee Lung Kei will be tying the knot with his 36-year-old girlfriend Chris Wong at the end of the year.
In a recent interview on an online programme, Lee, 72, spilled some details about his daily life with Wong and revealed the reasons behind their decision to marry.
"I want to give her (Wong) and her parents an explanation. It's a joyful occasion.
"I feel that (Wong) is a great woman in all aspects. She is considerate and takes good care of me," he said.
The actor then recounted how Wong took care of him during the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic.
He shared: "I was filming dramas during the time. I would get exhausted from work, so I didn't leave the house (often).
"Luckily, there's a convenience downstairs and my (fiancee) would go down to buy whatever I needed."
During the interview, Lee also dispelled rumours of his beau working as a hostess, saying that the latter had no need to do such work with her family background and status.
"I am not a foolish person. After spending so much time together, I know the kind of person she is," the Journey To The West star said.
Lee and Wong's relationship first came to light in 2020 when Hong Kong media reported that Wong, who was carrying Lee's child, suffered a miscarriage.
Despite the significant age difference, the couple has been in a stable relationship for the past four years due to shared interests.
Earlier in March, Lee revealed that he had already transferred all seven of his properties to Wong in an effort to secure her future after marriage.
The wedding, he said, will be kept low-key as the couple don't fancy grand events.
