While most of us spoil ourselves with our favourite meal on our birthday, Hong Kong diva Liza Wang is taking it a step further.

In celebration of her 76th birthday on Monday (Aug 28), Wang got herself a HK$7mil (RM4.1mil) unit in a commercial building in Kowloon Bay, Hong Kong.

According to Dimsum Daily, the TVB star previously acquired several units in the same building, demonstrating her interest in property investment.

Wang took to Instagram on Tuesday (Aug 29) to share photos taken from her birthday bash, attended by close relatives.

The Wars Of In-Laws (2005) actress looked elegant in a long-sleeved dress, with her hair neatly tied into a bun.

In her post, Wang expressed gratitude and said that she was happy to spend her birthday surrounded by loved ones.

“Another year has passed, but the most important thing is good health and smooth performances!

“This year, I had a meal with my younger brother, his wife, my cousin’s family, my goddaughter and my nephew,” she wrote in Chinese.

Wang’s celebrity pals – including Hong Kong actors Louis Cheung, Choi Kwok Wai and Yoyo Chen – also took to the comment section to wish her well.

Wang, who’s been in the entertainment industry for over five decades, tied the knot with singer-actor Law Kar Ying, 76, in 2009.

The couple came to Malaysia early May for their Mothers Day concert at the Arena Of Stars, Genting Highlands.
