Malaysia seems to be an ideal leisure and filming location for Hong Kong stars these days.

In recent months, we have seen actors like Charmaine Sheh, Him Law and Raymond Lam coming to the country for filming whereas celebrities such as Ruco Chan, Bosco Wong and Philip Keung are known for their frequent visits to Malaysia.

Adding onto the growing list of Hong Kong celebrities interested in visiting the country is actress Myolie Wu, who recently conveyed hopes for her businessman husband Philip Lee to bring her here soon.

In an Instagram update on Sunday (Sept 24), Lee shared that he was in Malaysia for work and to catch up with several friends.

His post was accompanied by a selfie of him at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur along with a caption that read: “Hello Malaysia! Hello KL! Long time no see. First things first, (share with me) food recommendations in the central area.”

Lee’s post sparked speculations whether Wu, 43, was in the country. Although the former TVB star clarified that she wasn’t here, she did mention that she would like to visit Malaysia in the future.

“Take me next time please,” she said in response to her husband’s post to which Lee replied, “Mummy refused my invitation. Let me drown myself in nasi lemak.”

Wu later clarified that she was unable to accompany Lee during his trip to Kuala Lumpur as she was caught up with work.

Meanwhile, many locals hoped to see the actress in Malaysia soon.

Several netizens also recommended Lee to try local cuisines such as roti canai, nasi kerabu, cendol and grilled chicken wings at Jalan Alor during his time here.

Wu and Lee tied the knot in December 2015 after dating for a year. The couple have three sons – Brendan, five, Ryan, four, and Liam, two.
