Datin Patimah's response comes after some netizens told Puteri Sarah to keep away from her former father-in-law as a sign of consideration towards Syamsul Yusof's current wife.

Datin Patimah Ismail has come forward to defend her former daughter-in-law, Puteri Sarah Liyana, after some individuals remarked displeasure at the actress recently.

Patimah, who is the wife of director-producer Datuk Yusof Haslam, said that Puteri Sarah was never the cause of turmoil within their family.

She furthermore urged the actress not to entertain negative comments directed at her.

"It’s nothing, let them make noise. They are just jealous," Patimah wrote in the caption to a photo of Puteri Sarah, on Instagram Friday (Sept 29).

According to mStar, "the noise" she's referring to is of some people expressing discontent with Puteri Sarah's close relationship with former father-in-law, Yusof.

The two of them appeared together on the recent Sepahtu Reunion Live programme.

During a TikTok live session too, some netizens told Puteri Sarah to keep away from Yusof as a sign of consideration towards Syamsul Yusof's current wife, Ira Kazar.

"You should distance yourself from your former father-in-law, think of the other side," one person commented

Meanwhile, on Patimah’s Instagram, many of her followers were delighted to see her consistently supporting Puteri Sarah.

Many were also touched by the relationship between Patimah and Puteri Sarah.

"Puteri Sarah must be an amazing daughter-in-law, that's why her in-laws are always supportive and kind to her," a follower wrote.

"The other side must be feeling rather down; they are really jealous of this daughter-in-law," said another.

For the record, Puteri Sarah and Syamsul Yusof finalised their divorce on June 14. They share two children.
