Anya Taylor-Joy married musician Malcolm McRae over the weekend in a star-studded ceremony in Venice, according to multiple reports.

The Queen’s Gambit star, 27, was joined in Italy by famous friends including Miles Teller, Julia Garner, Cara Delevingne, Nicolas Hoult and Evan Ross, People magazine reported.

McRae, 29, first met Taylor-Joy at a Queen’s Gambit premiere event in March 2021. He wrote a song about her shortly afterward titled Really Want To See You Again.

The duo were first spotted together in public in May 2021, when they shared a kiss in New York City. McRae posted a photo of the two together on Instagram in October of that year and captioned it, “Oof supremely happy.”

Taylor-Joy and McRae made their red carpet debut together at an Oscars after-party in March 2022, and the actress spoke about their relationship for an interview with British Vogue the following month.

“I said to my partner the other day that he was my hobby,” she told the magazine. “We’re basically 80 years old and seven at the same time, and it works really well.”

Taylor-Joy also said she’d despised the dating scene to the point that she was watching Sex And The City for tips from Carrie Bradshaw.

Shortly after that, rumours began flying that Taylor-Joy and McRae had married. Several outlets reported that they secretly tied the knot during summer 2022, but the couple never confirmed any marriage and no photos from a ceremony surfaced.

Just last week, Taylor-Joy was heard speaking with Jenna Ortega and Rosalia at Paris Fashion Week, apparently introducing McRae and saying, “Ese es mi marido,” meaning, “That is my husband.” – New York Daily News/Tribune News Service
