Like most brides-to-be, Hong Kong actress Roxanne Tong is focused on keeping herself in shape for the big day.

The TVB actress revealed she has lost close to 10kg in preparation for her upcoming nuptial to fellow actor Kenneth Ma. The 36-year-old beauty did it by cutting out sugar from her diet, which hasn't been easy for Tong as she loves desserts.

The lack of sugar, Tong said, has caused her to be easily irritable. Tong said that Ma, 49, knows how to deal with her mood swings.

“Once he senses I’m getting frustrated, he’ll tell me to eat ice cream but I’m starting to get used to cutting out sugar,” Tong said adding that she hopes to lose another 2kg before the big day.

Tong also told Hong Kong media she's starting to feel stressed out about the wedding as she didn't do much in terms of preparation the first half of the year. When asked if she is confident with Ma's choice in his wedding suit, the actress replied: “I can’t be bothered. He’ll get a stylist to help. I don’t think he’ll wear his soccer jersey.”

On Jan 1 this year, the celebrity couple announced their engagement on social media. In an article on Hong Kong news portal Oriental Daily News, Ma revealed that the proposal was “simple”. The couple are reportedly travelling to Europe soon to take their wedding photos.
