Hong Kong actress Roxanne Tong has spilled more details about her upcoming marriage to actor Kenneth Ma.
In an interview with Hong Kong media on Thursday (Nov 2), Tong revealed that she will be tying the knot with Ma in a small wedding among family and friends in December. However, there are many arrangements that have yet to be finalised.
When asked if Ma had left all the responsibilities on her, the 36-year-old explained that her fiance is currently preoccupied with filming a new drama.
"He rests only three to four hours a day and has to go back reading scripts. I have no reason to ask him at this time. I can handle these kinds of things myself. He will finish filming the drama soon, so I'll ask for his opinions then," she said.
Regarding potential honeymoon plans, Tong said it depends on Ma's work schedule.
Tong and Ma, 49, recently completed their wedding photoshoot in Paris. In an Instagram update, Tong shared a video of their holiday in France while Ma posted a video of them forming a heart shape using their hands with the Eiffel Tower in the background.
On the decision to take the bridal photos in France, the TVB actress said: "We wanted to go to a place that's far away, travel and have fun. There's also a good photography team (in France). They take beautiful pictures, so I sought their help."
During the interview, Tong dispelled rumours that there was a fallout between her and Ma.
Last month, the celebrity couple were videotaped shopping for luxury brands in France. In the clip, Tong could be seen with a poker face as Ma looked at her while carrying their purchases. The video sparked speculation that Tong was upset with Ma, and that the couple were not on good terms.
"They said I had a stern expression. I'm usually quiet and don't speak much. If I'm not in working mode, I just have a relaxed expression. Perhaps I look more fierce when I'm not smiling," she said.
Tong and Ma announced their engagement on New Year's Day this year.
The pair began dating after Ma broke up with actress Jacqueline Wong following her cheating scandal with married singer Andy Hui in 2019. Wong, 34, recently married Hong Kong musician Lai Man Wang.
