Taiwanese actress Joe Chen recently embarked on a holiday with her husband, Malaysian artist Alan Chen, in Malaysia and wasted no time feasting on the delicacies that are mostly unavailable in her homeland.

Joe first announced her presence in the country via an Instagram post on Oct 26, where she mentioned that she was in Ipoh.

The 44-year-old later headed to Kuala Lumpur, where she visited a mamak shop and enjoyed a plate of Maggi goreng with fried chicken and a refreshing bowl of ABC.

"Accurately captured the activities of a foodie," she wrote in an Instagram post on Oct 29.

During the couple's time in Malaysia's capital, Alan, 33, took the opportunity to introduce Joe to otak-otak. They also had dinner at a fine dining restaurant before making a stop at the iconic Petronas Twin Towers.

In an Instagram post on Nov 3, Joe joked about eating too much during her trip here: "I was still slim a few days ago."

Her most recent update on Sunday (Nov 5) showed her relaxing at Desaru Coast in Johor. The state is reported to be Alan's hometown.

Many netizens warmly welcomed Joe and Alan to Malaysia. Some also suggested other local dishes for the actress to try before returning to Taiwan.

Joe and Alan registered their marriage in Taiwan on March 31, 2022. The couple met on the dating show Meeting Mr Right.
