Malaysian actor Sabri Yunus has seen positive changes in his life since marrying his longtime friend, actress Angeline Tan, Kosmo! reported.
In an interview with the Malay daily, Sabri's eldest son Saidi noted that his father appeared happier and more energetic these days.
"My father used to be on his own previously. Now that he's in a relationship, it's really different. He looks healthier, radiant and in good spirits now," the 32-year-old said.
Sabri's second child Syamimi added that she and her siblings weren't taken aback by their father's decision to marry. Instead, they were grateful their father had finally found a romantic partner after 16 years.
“We weren't surprised because dad and Angeline have been friends for a long time. They grew closer during the movement control order in 2020.
"He would always go out with her so when he told us about his plans to marry, we weren't shocked at all," said Syamimi, 30.
Meanwhile, Sabri's youngest daughter Syazni said that she and her siblings always regarded Tan as a motherly figure. According to the 28-year-old, the actress had consistently treated them as her own kids since their childhood.
"Angeline is very caring ... not fake at all. She takes good care of dad and is overall a great and loving person," she said.
Sabri, 62, and Tan, 56, tied the knot at a private ceremony in Perlis on Oct 14. The couple got to know each other in the 1990s through many collaborations including the popular sitcom Pi Mai Pi Mai Tang Tu.
Tan has now taken on the name Ardini.
Sabri has three children from his first marriage to Norraya Mohd Yusof who died of cancer in 2007. Tan has two children from her previous marriage.
