Hong Kong singer-actress Adia Chan is feeling over the moon with her weight loss journey.
In a recent video posted on her social media accounts, Chan showcased her progress by comparing her fitness routine from last October to the same month this year. It can be seen that her figure has slimmed down significantly over the past year.
Sharing some words of encouragement on Instagram, the 52-year-old wrote in her post: "It's never too late to start. All you need to do is continue working hard and persevere."
On Weibo, Chan reposted the same video from her fitness instructor who praised the actress for her effort to reshape her physique.
The Once Upon A Time In Shanghai (1996) star also uploaded a photo of herself getting ready for a session of pull-ups at the gym under her post.
Many netizens were impressed by Chan's inspiring transformation and left comments praising her "amazing figure". Others also applauded the actress for her unwavering dedication to regaining her figure and wished her luck in her ongoing weight loss journey.
One netizen also thanked the actress for inspiring them to work out, saying: "After watching this video, it really makes me feel like I can build a good figure too."
Chan, who occasionally shares videos of herself exercising, was once the target of body shaming comments.
Last April, the Girl Of My Age singer was fat shamed by several netizens, who called her a "negative example" after she posted a video of herself boxing to encourage her fans to keep fit.
Although Chan didn't address the nasty comments, her husband, Chinese actor Zhang Duo, did.
At the time, the 44-year-old posted old photos of himself with Chan, saying: "It's clear that she's been well-fed by me. To make a plant well-nourished requires skill, so to make a person (well-nourished) means I'm skilled too."
Earlier in February, Chan proudly shared photos of herself on Weibo after shedding 10kg just four months into her weight loss regimen. She said then that she "made huge progress" on her belly and will keep working hard.
In another update two months later, Chan revealed that she had lost an additional 2kg, bringing her total weight loss to an impressive 12kg in nearly six months.
