Hong Kong actor Benz Hui's daughter, Charmaine, married Singaporean banker Shane Sim in a lavish ceremony on Dec 16.

According to reports, the newlyweds, who announced their engagement in October 2021, hosted over 20 tables at the banquet. It's said that more than 20 people from Sim's family flew in for the occasion.

The star-studded yet intimate affair held in Hong Kong's high-end residential area, Happy Valley, was graced by numerous celebrities – including actors Moses Chan and his wife Aimee, Eddie Cheung Siu Fai, Samantha Ko, Jessica Hsuan, director Johnnie To and more.

In an interview with Hong Kong media, Hui, who's known for being a doting father, said he's not worried about letting his daughter go.

"I'm just so happy to have someone taking care of my daughter," the 75-year-old said, adding that he trusted Sim as the latter had dated Charmaine for seven years.

Meanwhile, Charmaine and Sim said they're in no rush to start a family and will let nature take its course as they're currently focused on their careers.

"I don't think it will happen anytime soon. We plan to enjoy our time together first," Charmaine added.

Charmaine and Sim announced their engagement in October 2021. The couple will be holding another banquet in Singapore on Jan 6.
