Tan Sri Michelle Yeoh and husband Jean Todt aren't done celebrating their marriage.

After several rounds of gathering in Yeoh's hometown in Ipoh the past week, both bride and groom held an ultra chic wedding banquet in Pangkor Island, Perak yesterday (Dec 21).

Apart from family and close friends, French director Luc Besson was also at the dinner party according to a report. The venue was decorated in peach and green, the Everything Everywhere All At Once star's favourite colours.

The Oscar winner appointed Taiwanese designer Shiatzy Chen to plan the wedding – from invitations, floral arrangements and party favour right up to the dresses she wore to the banquet.

Chen, who has had a long working relationship with the 61-year-old actress, shared some photos on her company's official Facebook.

"Shiatzy Chen's creative director, Ms Shiatzy Chen and Oscar-winning actress Michelle Yeoh, share a longstanding and sincere friendship, cherishing their friendship throughout the years. With joyous blessings, today at the wedding banquet in Ipoh, Malaysia, Ms Shiatzy Chen extends her warmest and most sincere wishes to her dear friend," the statement read.

The photos include the two striking dresses the bride wore to the wedding banquet.

The first is a wave-patterned gown with orchids and butterflies motifs, made in Yeoh's favourite shade of green.

The second outfit is a floor-length gown in peach-orange featuring a showstopping sash.

Chen said that this dress was inspired by the coastal wedding setting and the reason for the organza sash tied around the waist was to symbolise the "binding a blessed union".

Last Sunday (Dec 17), Yeoh hosted a simple wedding banquet at a restaurant in her hometown of Ipoh. The private ceremony was attended by some 100 people, most of whom are close relatives and friends, Sin Chew Daily reported.

It is a promise the Hollywood star kept to her mother, Datin Janet Yeoh to hold a wedding ceremony in her home country.

Janet, 84, was reported to have said previously that she was not informed about her daughter’s wedding in Geneva, Switzerland, and suggested a separate wedding banquet here.

Michelle Yeoh and Todt, 77, tied the knot on July 27.
