Singer George Lam’s ex-wife Ng Ching Yuen, who rarely speaks about her private life, has briefly touched on her divorce from the Hong Kong star.
In a recent interview with Hong Kong media, Ng said she initially found it difficult to come to terms with the split.
Although she acknowledged that the divorce was “a permanent pain”, she made it clear that she has moved on from the past and is still good friends with Lam, 76, today.
In fact, the former couple were spotted taking a photo together at their son Alex’s wedding last November.
Ng shared that she’s currently enjoying life as a mother-in-law and is encouraging herself to embrace change.

Ng, who’s reportedly in her 70s, also said she isn’t worried about old age.
"When something happens, we need to face it head on and find solutions. I’ve come to understand in recent years the importance of physical, mental and spiritual health.
“I hope to freely enjoy the present moment in this second half of my life,” she said.
Ng and Lam, who tied the knot in 1980, divorced in 1994. They have two children together.
Lam went on to marry Cantopop diva Sally Yeh, 62, in 1996.
