Malaysian actor and radio announcer Jack Lim struck a man for taking upskirt videos of various female celebrities at Pavilion Bukit Jalil.

Among the victims include local influencers Han Xiao Ai and Nicole Low as well as television host Joey Kong.

In a recent interview with Shin Min Daily News, Lim said he was promoting a new film when he caught the perpetrator attempting to record upskirt videos while hiding his phone in a paper bag.

The 48-year-old added that the suspect attempted to flee but was eventually caught with the help of singer Henry Teo and a food delivery rider.

Lim said: "After unlocking his phone, we found many upskirt videos. Many fellow artistes have also been secretly filmed by him on various occasions. He's a repeat offender."

Lim continued: "When the police arrested him, he struck me. I initially didn't want to retaliate but my hands naturally swung at him."

Although Lim admitted that he might have acted impulsively, he doesn't regret his actions and is willing to bear any legal consequences.

"You know how crazy these perverts can get. They are mostly repeated offenders and I'm sorry but I can't restrain myself. We all have a responsibility to protect those around us," he wrote on Facebook.
