Malaysia seems to be a hotspot for Hong Kong celebrities to invest in real estate.

In recent years, we have seen stars like Ruco Chan and Joel Chan expressing desire to buy a house here whereas others like Philip Keung and Bosco Wong already own properties in the country.

Adding onto the list is TVB actor Owen Cheung, who was recently in the country with fellow actress Katy Kung for work.

According to Cheung, 36, he doesn’t mind living in Malaysia as he loves the environment and food here.

“It’s very comfortable, especially the houses in remote areas,” he said at a recent event in Kuala Lumpur.

The Al Cappuccino (2020) star added that his biggest concern after arriving in Malaysia was his weight.

He said: “The food here is delicious. If I didn’t have to perform today, I would’ve eaten a lot. My most favourite dish here is the prawn noodle.”

Meanwhile, Kung said she loves cooking and hopes to make some Malaysian dishes someday.

The 34-year-old added: “If I can cook (Malaysian cuisines), then my friends in Hong Kong can get a taste of Malaysian food.”

Kung expressed her desire to start a family someday. She also said she doesn’t mind dating a Malaysian man.
