What started out as a simple trip for Shila Amzah’s family took a chilling turn after they were supposedly disturbed by a ghostly entity.

The Malaysian singer detailed the eerie experience in an Instagram post on Tuesday (Feb 6).

As the story goes, Shila, her husband Ubai and her son Seth – whom she has from a previous marriage – were in Pulau Langkawi to support Ubai in a football game and booked a homestay there.

“Our homestay in Langkawi was haunted. The (supernatural entity) kept scratching and shaking our room door,” the 33-year-old said.

Shila added that when Ubai went to look through the window to see if anyone was messing around with them, he saw no one but lied at the time and said it was a cat.

“The door was still shaking but there was no one outside. It was only on the next day as we were heading to Perlis when he told us the truth,” she said.

At the end of her post, Shila advised homestay owners to make sure their properties are “cleansed” regularly to avoid disturbances from paranormal entities and ensure the safety and comfort of guests.

“I am pregnant with a child now, so these things need to be taken into consideration,” she said.

On Jan 4, Shila announced that she’s expecting a child with Ubai. She married the social media influencer on Aug 5 last year.

Shila was previously married to Haris Idraki Elias in 2018. The pair divorced in 2022.
