Five years after meeting on the Chinese dating show Meeting Mr Right II, Taiwanese actress Joe Chen and her husband, Malaysian artist Alan Chen, have returned to the place where their romance first blossomed.

In a recent Instagram update, Joe – who has been in Malaysia since Chinese New Year – shared several photos with Alan at the Langkawi Sky Bridge in Kedah.

The spot holds sentimental significance as it was where Alan first asked the actress to be his girlfriend on the 2019 dating show.

Joe, 44, captioned her post: “In 2019, we said that if we were still together after a year, we would return to the Sky Bridge to celebrate. Turns out, it got delayed until 2024. Now, we are already married.”

Alan, 34, also shared a carousel of photos at the Sky Bridge alongside a caption that read: “The place where we fell in love. We (are) back here again in Langkawi.”

Many well-wishers left comments congratulating the couple, who exchanged vows in 2022.

Some have even suggested that Joe recreate the scene from Meeting Mr Right II by donning the same pink shirt she wore back in 2019.
