Actress Puteri Sarah Liyana is ready to offer singer Bella Astillah a shoulder to cry on following a suspected khalwat case (close proximity) involving the latter’s husband, Singaporean actor Aliff Aziz.
Aliff, 33, and local actress Ruhainies, 31, were nabbed by Federal Territories Islamic Religious Department (Jawi) officers on the early morning of March 9 after they were seen together at a condominium in Kuala Lumpur.
In an Instagram Story, Puteri Sarah, 38, said: “Reaching out to Bella, you were there when I needed a shoulder to cry on. I'm here for you if you need me.”
Her post was accompanied by a photo of her with the 29-year-old singer.
Puteri Sarah, who was embroiled in a marital conflict with filmmaker Syamsul Yusof last year, also requested everyone to give Bella space.
The actress ended her nine-year marriage with Syamsul last June after he announced on Jan 6, 2023 that he had married a second wife, Ira Kazar, in Thailand.
Puteri Sarah said: “Whatever has passed should be left in the past. Focus on the present.
“I know the whole story from start to finish, so it’s not nice for us to judge her. Let’s give Bella space and pray for her.”
Meanwhile, Aliff said in a statement on March 10 that there have been exaggerated reports on what actually happened on the day of his detainment.
He apologised for the matter and added that he will explain everything soon to avoid further misunderstandings.
Ruhainies, who is currently single, made a similar post on Instagram, adding that she will issue a statement soon to avoid confusion.
She also apologised for the incident and urged the public to stop speculating as many reports on the matter are not fully accurate.
Aliff and Bella, who exchanged vows in 2016, divorced in 2019 after he was accused of cheating on her but reconciled in 2020.
They have a six-year-old son and three-year-old daughter together.
