When Malaysian singer Syasya announced she was quitting Dolla on April 8, fans of the local girl group were shocked. What could be the reason of her sudden departure? To pursue a solo career? To care for her mental health? Feud within the group?

Turns out, it was none of the above.

Syasya, whose full name is Noor Syasya Afiqah Shahrizal, tied the knot over the weekend. And that's the reason why the 23-year-old artiste choose to quit Dolla, the girl group's record label Universal Music said.

"Good news all around as Syasya has tied the knot with the man of her choice. It's the main reason why she chose to leave Dolla," Universal Music told mStar, The Star's Malay-language portal.

The music label also added that it hopes this will end all speculations about Syasya's departure.

This statement came after photos of Syasya's wedding went viral over the weekend. It is believed that she tied the knot on Saturday and only family members and close friends were invited to the nuptials.

In an earlier statement, Dolla – now comprising Angel, Sabronzo and Tabby – said that it will remain fully committed as it continues its planned activities as a trio.

"We hope that we can continue to make you proud on our journey together," the group said.
