Kim Kardashian’s humble beginnings don’t only include serving as Paris Hilton’s personal assistant and Ray-J’s sex tape co-star, she also worked as a dog walker — for Madonna.
The reality superstar — and billionaire business mogul — confessed that she took care of the Queen of Pop‘s pooch in exchange for her jewellery as a kid.
“She was my next door neighbour when I was like seven or eight years old,” she revealed during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Monday. “I was her dog walker. Kourtney and I would walk her dog after school ... in exchange for her jewellery.”
“She was transitioning out of the ’80s neon phase, so one day she just walked downstairs and handed us a shoebox of all these neon bracelets,” she continued. “Kourtney and I went to school and everyone was like, ‘Oh my God I love your bracelets!’ And we were like, ‘Thanks, Madonna gave them to us.’”
Kardashian admitted that while she no longer has the iconic fashion accessories, she has another memory of Madge. She said she got to see the Material Girl in all of her performative splendor during the Cherish video shoot with photographer Herb Ritts.
“Me and my friend were on the beach and it was just the most magical moment ever,” she shared about the black-and-white video.
Another memory the Skims founder shared with Kimmel was that years later she bumped into Madonna when they were both trick-or-treating with their kids, wearing black ski masks to conceal their identities. – New York Daily News/Tribune News Service
