Singaporean actor Aliff Aziz has addressed the claims made by his wife, Malaysian artiste Bella Astillah, that he had cheated on her 11 times.
Speaking on The Common Folks podcast on YouTube last Friday (May 3), Aliff admitted to losing track of the number of women he’s been involved with throughout his marriage with Bella, 30.
“To be honest, I can’t remember the number. For me to explain past mistakes isn’t the smart thing to do. She (Bella) can say what she wants to say. I won’t object,” the 33-year-old said.
Aliff shared that he often questions why he keeps repeating the same mistakes.
“Why do I keep doing what I do? I ask myself that many times but still can’t find the answer,” he said, adding that he has failed to understand and appreciate his wife.
Aliff also said he won’t delay the divorce process any longer and is ready to let go of Bella.
The estranged couple, who share two children, tied the knot in September 2016.
“We have reached a point of no return. If going our separate ways makes her happy, then I, as a husband, need to give her what she wants. No more games to delay the process,” he said.
Bella filed for divorce from Aliff on March 13, just days after the Singaporean was detained by religious authorities in Kuala Lumpur for suspected khalwat with local actress Ruhainies, 31.
However, during the court proceeding of the divorce on April 4, Aliff refused to divorce Bella, claiming he still loved her.
Things heated up when a woman, Sarah Yasmine, claimed to be Aliff’s girlfriend since January.
Aliff said in the podcast that he made a “huge mistake” reconnecting with Sarah.
This is the second time Bella has filed for a divorce from Aliff.
The pair divorced in 2019 after Aliff was accused of cheating on Bella but reconciled in 2020.
