Canadian-born actress Aimee Chan found success in the film industry following her victory in Miss Hong Kong 2006.
Since making her debut in the 2008 series Catch Me Now, she has garnered acclaim for her performances in dramas like Burning Flame III, Off Pedder and E.U.
In 2013, the Hong Kong-based actress opened a new chapter in her life when she married TVB star Moses Chan and became a mother.
Although Aimee took a break from acting in 2014 to be a full-time mother, she has no regrets about her decision.
“Many think I sacrificed a lot in my career, but it was a sacrifice I chose.
“There are many choices in life. Sometimes, you have to sacrifice something in order to gain something else. I chose my family.
“You can’t always have the best of both worlds,” she said in the latest episode of actress Carina Lau’s show, where Moses also appeared as a guest.
Aimee and Moses, who share two sons and a daughter, previously expressed interest in starting a big family.
When asked if they wanted to have a fourth child, Aimee said she had thought about it but ultimately decided against the idea.
“I am the one who usually helps with the homework, and it’s really tiring,” the 43-year-old said.
Moses, 53, added: “The kids are also interested in sports, like taekwondo. So to properly foster their interests, Aimee would take lessons and learn alongside them.”
Aimee and Moses also shared their secrets to maintaining a healthy and lasting marriage during the interview.
The couple went public with their romance in 2011.
“I feel that we should say ‘I love you’ every day. Say sweet things to each other. Don’t just keep them in your heart,” said Aimee.
Moses agreed, adding: “You have to really love and like (your partner). That way, there can be love in the family. When there’s love, the children can grow up happily.”
