Hong Kong actors Him Law, Charmaine Sheh, Raymond Lam and more were in Malaysia last July to film the TVB drama The Heir To The Throne.

The series, which was mostly shot around Kuala Lumpur, features several Malaysian talents.

Among them include singer Jestinna Kuan, who took to Instagram on May 14 to express gratitude for receiving the opportunity to star alongside such huge Hong Kong names.

“Seeing many familiar TVB actors whom I grew up watching in front of me felt surreal.

“All of them seemed to defy ageing, looking just like they did 10 years ago. So impressive,” she wrote alongside several behind the scenes clips and photos, which also included a selfie with Lam.

Actress Joey Leong, who stars as Sheh’s assistant in the show, said although she didn’t get much screen time, she gained a lot of experience.

“I also got to witness the charisma and acting skills of my idols first hand. They have a very gentle side off camera,” the 29-year-old wrote on Instagram.

Meanwhile, local actress Feon Lai is set to appear in the fifth episode of The Heir To The Throne.

She shared a selfie with Sheh on social media recently and said the 48-year-old was very kind and attentive on set.

“She is really thoughtful and a huge foodie. She even asked me about the tastiest prawn noodles in the area,’ Lai added.

Actress Ruby Yap also confirmed on Instagram that she will be appearing in the show from episode 10 onwards.

She mentioned that this was her first time filming alongside so many talented Hong Kong actors and shared some selfies with Sheh, Lam, Law and singer-actress Toby Leung.

“Everyone was really approachable. I also got to see their professionalism.

“Really grateful for this collaboration opportunity. I hope to meet again someday,” the 32-year-old wrote.

Yap also opened up about the most unforgettable experience she had in an interview with China Press.

“On the first day of filming, my scene partners that day were Raymond Lam and Hugo Ng.

“I don’t know why but as soon as filming began, I felt so nervous that my whole body tensed up, and my heart started racing,” she said, adding that it had been a long time since she felt that nervous.
